\->Source Code->Configuration / Options->Environment Variables (MAKEMSI Configuration)->MAKEMSI_MM_CONBUFFSIZE

Environment Variable: MAKEMSI_MM_CONBUFFSIZE

This environment variable is only used by the "MM.CMD" batch file.

While MAKEMSI duplicates all (or almost all) output in the "console log", it is frequently a lot easier just to scroll back in the Windows Console for quick checks. This may also be useful if you suspect something was displayed which is not going into the log. This envionment variable doesn't apply to Windows 95-ME.

If the environment variable doesn't exist then MAKEMSI will set the scroll back buffer to a very large value, you can pick your own value but do not use one larger than 32,000.

Set this environment to "-" (minus) to prevent MAKEMSI from adjusting the console's buffer size using the "ConSetBuffer.exe" utility.
